Peppermint White Hot Chocolate Matcha Latte
Peppermint always seems to find its way onto our winter list, and for good reason. It brings a bright, refreshing lift to the colder months, and when you pair it with white chocolate and matcha, something really comforting happens. This Peppermint White Hot Chocolate Matcha Latte has become a repeat favorite in our kitchen. We prepare it using our café-grade matcha and our 100% natural peppermint loose-leaf tea, so the flavours stay clean, refreshing, and authentic. Let's begin!

Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon peppermint loose-leaf tea
- 120 ml hot water (around 90–95°C)
- 1 teaspoon café-grade matcha
- 30 ml warm water (about 75–80°C)
- 150 ml milk or your preferred alternative
- 30–40 g (chopped or white chocolate chips)
- Optional: crushed peppermint candy or a small mint leaf for topping
Directions
- Steep the peppermint loose-leaf tea for 3–4 minutes, strain, and set aside.
- Sift the matcha into a bowl to avoid clumping. Add warm water and whisk until smooth and bright.
- Heat the milk. Add the chopped white chocolate or white chocolate chips and stir until fully melted. Keep the heat low so the mixture stays smooth.
- Pour the peppermint tea into your mug. Add the melted white-chocolate milk. Finish with the matcha layer on top. Pour slowly to keep the layers intact.
- Serve with a sprinkle of crushed peppermint candy or a small mint leaf for garnish.
