Ingredients
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon matcha green tea powder
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- A pinch of cinnamon
- 1 packet vanilla powder
- 1/2 tablespoon oil (for the pan)
- 1/2 pack cream cheese
- 2 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk
- Fresh strawberries, diced
Directions
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk the egg and milk together until well combined.
- Sift in the flour, matcha powder, sugar, cinnamon, cardamom, and vanilla powder.
- Whisk until the batter is smooth and free of lumps.
- Let the batter sit for about 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
- Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and brush with a little oil.
- Pour a small ladleful of batter into the center of the pan, tilting the pan in a circular motion to spread the batter thinly.
- Cook for about 1-2 minutes or until the edges start to lift, then flip carefully and cook for another 30 seconds.
- Repeat with the remaining batter, stacking the cooked crepes on a plate.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.
- Add the sweetened condensed milk and continue to beat until the mixture is creamy and well combined.
- Lay a crepe flat on a clean surface.
- Spread a generous amount of the whipped cream mixture over the crepe.
- Add a line of diced strawberries along one edge of the crepe.
- Carefully roll the crepe into a tight log, enclosing the filling.
- Slice the roll into pieces, revealing the beautiful swirl of matcha, cream, and strawberries.
- Arrange the crepe roll slices on a serving plate.
- Garnish with additional strawberries and a dusting of matcha powder or powdered sugar if desired.
- Enjoy immediately for the best texture and flavor.
